A lot of a jeweller's day happens away from the desk: on the shop floor, at a supplier, at a trade counter. The stock.ex.gold mobile app puts the stock room, the rate board and the storefront in their pocket — and it has to feel instant and trustworthy every time.
We are looking for a Flutter engineer who sweats the details of a production mobile app: smooth lists over large inventories, dependable sync, camera and barcode flows, and release discipline across both stores.
What you will do
- Build and ship features across the Flutter app for iOS and Android — stock capture, item photos, repairs and live rates.
- Design offline-first flows with careful sync and conflict handling against our Go/Firestore backend.
- Own performance: scrolling over thousands of pieces, image handling and cold-start times on mid-range Android.
- Run the release pipeline — App Store and Play submissions, staged rollouts, crash and ANR triage.
- Pair with design and the web team so the app and the web surfaces feel like one product.
What we are looking for
- 4+ years of mobile development, with at least 2 shipping production Flutter apps to both stores.
- Strong Dart, solid understanding of state management (Riverpod, Bloc or similar) and app architecture.
- Experience with camera, barcode/QR, local persistence and background sync.
- Comfortable with native interop when Flutter alone will not do (Swift/Kotlin platform channels).
- A habit of measuring — Firebase Crashlytics, Performance, analytics — and acting on what you see.
Nice to have
- Experience with Firebase Auth, Firestore or reCAPTCHA Enterprise on mobile.
- Exposure to point-of-sale, retail or fintech products.
- An app in the stores we can download.
